Absolutely the best maid service ever! Love the concept of the company - less impact on the environment and the top notch professionals who arrived to clean my house. Two weeks later and my house is still dust free - that’s how thorough they were. Will continue to use them forever!!”

This weekend we are attending a dinner party on Saturday night hosted by my boss. I think these six rules for being a good guest are spot on. I’ll be keeping them top of mind this weekend.

Noted…and please note for future reference!

  8. Few months ago I attended  to the Dallas Vegan meetup. I’m not yet totally Vegan but I’m adopting some of the ingredients and practices little by little. I wrote an article few months ago with called Dallas Vegan guide with more resources.
Eating healthier has become a mainstream, being Vegan is not weird anymore. The growth of vegan friendly stores like Wholefoods, Sprouts and soon opening Trader Joe’s in Dallas, shows that the general public are aware and are buying. In Dallas we have the Vspot Cafe in Dallas that opened by the end of 2011. Loving Hut a national vegan franchise is opening another store in Addison besides their Arlington location. Spiral Dinner which seems to be the hottest place in DFW for vegans is busier than ever.
Even colleges and universities are joining the boom. UNT in Denton, has built the first vegan college cafeteria in the U.S. Students made the request to have more Vegan dishes in their menu. Vegan dishes are very popular within the college.
I’m glad to see this kind of culture shift in here in Texas where people looked for the big steaks and greasy foods. Vegan foods in Dallas is a promising new business opportunity for sure, but best of all is growing a healthier city.

  10. Finding and keeping a consistent cleaning service.

As we answer for quotes here at Gmaids, everyday we hear again and again the #1 concern and complaint of people. My house cleaners are not being consistent anymore, they started well but after 6 moths, they forget things, they come late, don’t show up, more and more excuses.

    Why this happens?

Well, first of all don’t ever hire a relative or someone that is very close to you. Close relationships tend to become that…a close relationship. Not cleaner to customer relationship. Here’s what you need to do in order to find and keep a consistent house cleaning service in Dallas.

    1. Hire somebody that has a med to higher price than normal. Cheaper maid services try to “clean”  4-6 homes every day, imagine the stress level and tiredness of the cleaning crews. This causes people to forget things, rush and leave the details for later.

    2. Avoid if possible independent people. People that get laid-off from work, and starts a “cleaning company” is no good way to get a consistent cleaning experience. Providing top notch and consistent cleaning on homes is not something you can do overnight. Great cleaners and detailed cleaning, takes years of experience and most importantly, the person must LIKE IT, and I could say almost LOVE IT.

    3. Ask questions. How they keep up with the consistency, what procedures they have in place. Most house cleaners will say that they retain it in they memory. Cleaning 4-6 homes a day with different layouts, make it virtually impossible to do this. Get more advice on our blog
